Water Horizons

It has been a great while since I've seen the ocean. Usually I don't go more than a couple months without visiting salted water of some sort. I believe I have an inner magnet to the ocean, or at least to big bodies of water. I've never been a big fan of staying in a land locked places for too long, and it kind of itches inside when it's been a while since I've seen a water-sky horizon. What Day is It?

Oh yeah, it's a Tuesday! Right? Wrong. The concept of days, weeks, and months feel kind of irrelevant these days. Like having money but not spending it, what's the point of that! 😂 *Sigh* Who would have thought 2020 would be such a, how do I put it, peculiar year. That's just mild compared to how most people feel about 2020, from what I've gathered. I totally sympathize with those feelings; life during a global pandemic is atrocious, and the amount of suffering inconceivable.  But I want to keep this one light and positive. My Happy Place - Self Portraits

Some of my happiest moments have been when I do photoshoots all by myself. It's more time consuming than having someone else push the camera button for me, but it's a lot more rewarding and liberating. I feel more in control of the creative process, I get to direct the photoshoot and star in it. All while learning new skills in lighting, modeling, and editing.  In my bag of essentials to do this kind of self portraits you will find a tripod and a remote to trigger my camera to shoot.
