My Happy Place - Self Portraits

Some of my happiest moments have been when I do photoshoots all by myself. It's more time consuming than having someone else push the camera button for me, but it's a lot more rewarding and liberating. I feel more in control of the creative process, I get to direct the photoshoot and star in it. All while learning new skills in lighting, modeling, and editing.  In my bag of essentials to do this kind of self portraits you will find a tripod and a remote to trigger my camera to shoot. You will also find that I carry with me a pocket size LED light in case I need to brighten my face. Also, something very important; spare batteries.  The locations of these...

About my new song Dump Him and how it came to be

It's official! My new song Dump Him is live! Woohoo! 🥳  I wanted to expand a little bit about this particular song. This is what I'm calling my quarantine project, cause I made it happen during the stay at home order, and it's my first time in a while that I mixed and mastered myself.  Under normal circumstances I wouldn't have had the time to sit down in front of my laptop and mix a song for hours like I did with this one. So I'm grateful I took the time to do it, and it actually kept my sanity during this very uncertain time in our lives.  Technically, this song is a remix. The inception of it actually goes back...

On my days off...

Today is my day off. But what that really means to me is that it's a day to do things that bring me joy. And it all starts from the moment I get up.  On days off, if I don’t feel like getting out of bed right away, I just don’t. I’ll stay there maybe read a book for a few minutes, or just be on my phone. And when I come down to the kitchen and I don't feel like making breakfast, I just don't. And if all I want is to sip my coffee slow I do just that. And if that morning latte was so good that I want another one right after, then I go for it!...

Quarantine Update

Has it been 3 or 5 months? All I know is that it was around St. Patrick's Day when my quarantine began. And unlike these pictures show, I've actually stayed pretty busy between work, music, and landscaping believe it or not! I will be giving you an update on that eventually... I do hope you've been able to relax more than me amidst all the craziness happening in the world right now. I can say that my sleep quality has improved significantly in these past few months, maybe due to the lack of strict structure and routine to my daily life. In any case, I'm learning that even as life moves back to "normal" I shouldn't be so hard on...

Nashville Aquaman! 🔱

It's summer time! That means lots of time outdoors for me. And in the water of course! Whether at the lake or pool, you can find me stroking along. Kayaking is one of my favorite social distancing activities 😂 Great to do during the summer months here at the lake. Oh yeah, I'm more of a lake paddler than a river one. I just prefer moving at my own pace, making stops along the way to snap pictures and take in the views. I must admit though, unless the water is above 80 degrees I'm not getting in! I'm a wuss when it comes to water temperature 😂 I just don't see the need to be suffering in cold water. The...
